Data Officer (Public Health Intelligence) x 3 Posts

Rotherham Council is seeking to employ three Data Officers (Public Health Intelligence) to work across South Yorkshire Local Authorities to support the application of a data-driven approach to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities.
These posts are three-year fixed posts and offer a 22-month Level 7 Health and Care Intelligence Specialist Apprenticeship where 20% of worktime will be dedicated to apprenticeship learning. The postholder must be able to start in post in January in line with the apprenticeship programme.
To allow exposure to the public health system across South Yorkshire, these will be rotating around the four local authorities (Rotherham, Barnsley, Sheffield, and Doncaster).
You will be an analyst in public health and the role will involve the collation, analysis, interpretation and presentation of health and wellbeing data, to develop new outcome monitoring dashboards, to support the use of data in local health improvement programmes, and to contribute to the analytical capability across the system.
Public Health work on a wide range of issues, with multiple partners, to achieve significant improvements in local people’s health and wellbeing and addressing inequalities in health.
The postholder will have the demonstrable experience in the field to build the understanding of health and health inequalities through data and intelligence.
The role will involve working across the system with other partners, including local health organisations, the voluntary and community sector and teams across the Council.

Salary range
