Data Protection and Information Governance Assistant

The Vacancy

Step into a role that puts you at the heart of data protection, governance, and public service impact.

You’ll be the go-to support for our Data Protection Officer—helping drive compliance, handling FOI and EIR requests, supporting DPIAs, managing data incidents, and coordinating data subject requests. You’ll also play a key part in training, data mapping, and occasionally deputising for the DPO.

This is a hands-on role where accuracy, initiative, and strong communication skills matter. You’ll also support both the Legal and Democratic Services teams, helping ensure our meetings, processes, and documentation run smoothly and professionally.
