Job Purpose
The main purpose of this role as Delivery Support Administrator is to support the organisation through the delivery of high-quality, effective administrative support. As part of their respective teams, Delivery Support Administrators are assigned responsibilities/activities to deliver through their respective delivery support management structures.
Delivery Support Administrators are also expected to work flexibly across other teams to provide support to other EPSRC teams and activities as required. The role contributes to the achievement of teams’ specific objectives by providing support across some, or all or the following areas:
- General support
- Peer Review
- Resourcing
- Strategic Priorities
- Data Management
Delivery Support Administrators also understand EPSRC’s mission, strategy and operations to deliver the above support effectively.
Key Responsibilities
The role will involve working flexibly across various activities and may also involve supporting strategic projects, responding to emerging and changing priorities with clarity of purpose and to tight deadlines. Your role will involve building and managing relationships with senior colleagues as well as internal and external stakeholders.
As a delivery support administrator, you may be providing support as follows:
- Using meeting scheduling systems and processes, document management structures, and internal standard operating procedures
- Support and help to deliver our process of peer review using our systems
- Arrangement and support for virtual and in-person meetings including preparation of agendas and note takin
- Providing Funding Opportunity support, including setting up webinars
- Monitoring shared mailboxes to ensure that queries and requests are dealt with in a timely manner
- Travel and accommodation booking
- Team diary management
- Information monitoring and collation of reporting materials, briefings and document management
- Support delivery of EPSRC events
- General project support and other team activities as required
Person specification
- A minimum of 3 GCSEs (or equivalent)
- Previous administrative experience
- A sound knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail as evidenced through your Covering Letter and CV
- Experience of inbox support
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work as a proactive team member, using your initiative to deal with problems and overcome challenges to deliver the team’s activities
- Ability to manage change and pressure and work in an adaptable and flexible manner
- Ability to establish and manage wider working relationships with colleagues at all levels
- Effective verbal communication
- Ability to work at pace in a dynamic environment, reprioritising tasks as appropriate
