Deputy Head Teacher/Head of Site – Downs View School

This role is a great opportunity for someone who is currently a leader and wants to develop further working alongside the executive head teacher. The role will be working closely with the Assistant Heads to ensure consistency in all school systems.

Context

Downs View School and Colleges meets the needs of pupils with profound and multiple and severe learning difficulties. Many of our pupils have autism and communication difficulties. We meet our pupils needs through an outstanding curriculum that places individuals needs at its centre. There are three Deputy Head roles at Downs View. This post will be based at Downs View School but aspects of the role are whole school. The role will give the appointed postholder diverse comprehensive experience in leadership & management in a large highly successful specialist provider. Applicants need to evidence successful teaching and leadership practise, be committed, enthusiastic but also flexible in outlook to contribute to the development of the organisation.
