You will be responsible for registering births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships in accordance with relevant legislation and guidance. You will also conduct marriage, civil partnership and citizenship ceremonies, creating a welcoming and professional experience for couples and their guests.
Working across our Southport and Waterloo Register Offices, you will provide support to the Superintendent Registrar and deputise for them when required. You will manage a varied workload, ensuring that all registrations and associated documentation are completed accurately, efficiently and in line with statutory requirements.

You will work closely with colleagues and other partners to ensure the smooth delivery of the Registration Service, using excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to manage completing priorities and complex legislative processes.
You’ll be part of a dedicated team where collaboration, flexibility and a shared commitment to excellent public service are at the heart of everything we do. The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends and out of hours duties as required. A full and valid driving licence is essential, and you must be willing to travel between registration offices and other locations across the borough.
This is a varied and rewarding role, offering the opportunity to develop your professional knowledge and make a meaningful contribution to the experience of our customers.
