Your impact in the role:
We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in District Heating, Building services, and plumbing systems, and be responsible for ensuring that our building systems are designed, installed, and maintained to meet the highest standards of efficiency and safety.
What you'll bring:
- Ensure our District Heating systems are designed, installed, and maintained in accordance with industry standards and building codes.
- Review and check mechanical design drawings; prepare high-level design sketches and indicative schematics if required.
- Perform and manage regular system inspections to identify and address any issues or inefficiencies.
- Work with contractors to develop maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure that all systems are properly maintained.
- Manage contractors and vendors to ensure that work is completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with project teams to coordinate building services with other aspects of the construction process.
- Respond to emergency calls and provide prompt resolution of any system failures.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and new technologies to ensure that our building services are always state-of-the-art.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical & Building Services Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Building Services Engineer, with a strong focus on District Heating, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Excellent technical knowledge of building systems and related codes and regulations.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to respond to emergency calls outside of normal working hours.
