
Digital Analytics Implementation Specialist
Job summary
The Data & Analytics (D&A) team is at the heart of VisitBritain/VisitEngland’s ambition to become a more data-led organisation. Reporting to the Digital Analytics Lead, the Digital Analytics Implementation Specialist will play a key role in the implementation, governance and optimisation of digital analytics tracking across VisitBritain and VisitEngland’s digital estate.
Working closely with product, marketing, content, and agency teams, as well as the wider D&A team (including data, business analysis and BI), the successful candidate will help deliver reliable, consistent, and privacy-compliant digital measurement across websites, campaigns, and digital products.
The role combines hands-on implementation, QA, governance, and stakeholder collaboration within a complex digital environment, with opportunities to further develop expertise across digital measurement, implementation best practice, and analytics support.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- implementing and validating analytics and marketing tracking using GTM and GA4
- managing tracking QA, troubleshooting, and release validation activities
- maintaining implementation documentation, tracking inventories and governance standards
- managing GA4 and GTM administration activities, including user access management and platform support
- maintaining campaign tracking governance and UTM implementation standards across marketing activity
- collaborating with stakeholders, developers and agencies to define, deliver and validate tracking requirements across digital projects.
This role offers ongoing opportunities to take ownership of areas of implementation best practice, tracking governance and analytics support within a growing digital analytics function. You will also gain exposure to broader analytics infrastructure and how digital tracking data supports downstream reporting, analysis, and business insight.
