By staying ahead of emerging technologies and best practice, you’ll help evolve our digital approach – embedding innovative tools and methods that boost engagement and performance. Ultimately, your work will ensure that learning at Southwark remains inclusive, forward-thinking, and transformative.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and delivering high-quality e-learning, blended learning, and digital development programmes that support Southwark’s workforce strategy and drive meaningful impact across the council.
- Leading and managing the council’s Learning Management System (LMS) as the digital learning superuser – optimising content, functionality, and user experience.
- Translating complex information into creative, accessible, and interactive digital learning resources that engage learners at all levels.
- Using data and analytics to evaluate learning outcomes, measure success, and continually enhance the effectiveness of digital learning initiatives.
- Collaborating with colleagues, subject matter experts, and partners to deliver innovative digital solutions that meet evolving business needs.
- Championing inclusivity and accessibility in all learning activities, ensuring every colleague has the opportunity to develop and thrive.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Proven experience in developing and delivering engaging e-learning and digital learning content that supports organisational goals.
- Strong knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), including configuration, administration, and data reporting.
- A relevant qualification or equivalent experience within a Learning and Development environment.
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, creative, and accessible digital learning materials.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet competing deadlines.
- Confident working collaboratively with senior leaders, managers, and partners to deliver effective learning solutions.
- Skilled in analysing data and using insights to evaluate and enhance learning outcomes.
- A commitment to inclusion, ensuring digital learning is accessible and supports Southwark’s diverse workforce.
