We're looking for a Digital Solutions Lead to help us drive forward Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council's digital transformation ambitions. This is a hands-on, influential role where you’ll work closely with council services, Xentrall ICT and partner organisations to design, develop and maintain digital solutions including AI-enabled tools, automation, self-service solutions, workflows and customer-facing processes.

About the role
As our Digital Solutions Lead, you will:
  • Lead on the design, development and implementation of digital and technology solutions across a range of service areas.
  • Develop and enhance AI-enabled digital solutions that deliver seamless customer experiences.
  • Integrate digital tools with key line-of-business systems to streamline customer transactions.
  • Configure and maintain digital systems, workflows, scripts, identity management and management information dashboards.
  • Identify opportunities for digital transformation and help shape new, digitally enabled service models.
  • Manage project teams, developing and coaching team members to ensure strong performance and excellent customer experience.

About you
We're looking for someone who:
  • Has experience leading digital projects, solutions and service improvements from concept to delivery.
  • Understands the opportunities of digital technology, AI and automation to drive transformation.
  • Can build strong relationships and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Uses data, insight and customer feedback to identify opportunities and inform decisions.
  • Has excellent communication skills and can translate complex concepts into practical solutions.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, creativity and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer-focused services.

This is a fixed term role with an expected duration of 12 months.
