We are excited to offer this rare opportunity to lead and drive the Clean Energy and Net Zero agenda for Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.
In this pioneering role, you will provide a future-focused ambitious approach, with strategic leadership and professional expertise, to ensure the Combined Authority achieves its Net Carbon Zero targets and its commitment to a clean, sustainable, inclusive future. This pivotal role will lead the advancement of the Mersey Tidal Power Project submission, one of the UK’s most innovative renewable energy projects, which has the potential to transform the region’s energy landscape. You will lead cross-sector work to advocate, support and advise on the Clean Energy agenda, with a view to securing sustainable clean energy solutions for the Liverpool City Region.
You will have a passion to address the climate emergency, supporting the Executive Director to drive forward our advocacy and leadership across our net zero ambitions, placing us at the forefront of the Green Industrial revolution, putting our region on the map as a global hub for innovation and sustainability while aligning with our economic, environmental and social impact goals.
You will need to be able to demonstrate experience and passion for the clean energy and net zero agenda, with strong leadership credentials working in a complex organisation with a large range of stakeholders, building trusted partnerships within and beyond the city region.

Salary range
- £121,944 - £131,940 per year
