About the Role

This is a rewarding and impactful role at the heart of Sefton’s response to domestic abuse. As a Domestic Abuse Case Worker (Perpetrator), you will play a vital role in engaging with individuals who have caused harm, supporting them to recognise and take responsibility for their behaviour, reduce risk, and make positive, sustainable changes that contribute to safer outcomes for victims and families.

Working as part of a multi-agency approach to tackling domestic abuse, you will manage a diverse caseload, undertake risk and needs assessments, develop tailored intervention plans, and work closely with partner organisations to support behaviour change while maintaining a clear focus on safeguarding. This role requires someone who is resilient, proactive, able to build constructive professional relationships, and confident managing sensitive and complex situations.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging and working directly with perpetrators of domestic abuse to support behavioural change and reduce risk.
  • Conducting comprehensive risk and needs assessments and developing tailored support and intervention plans.
  • Maintaining accurate, timely and high-quality case records and reports.
  • Working collaboratively with partner agencies, including participation in multi-agency meetings and risk management processes.
  • Managing sensitive information with the highest levels of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion.
  • Utilising digital systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel, to effectively manage casework and communication.

This role suits someone who is passionate about creating safer communities, committed to achieving positive outcomes through intervention and support, and confident working both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced safeguarding environment.
