Domestic Abuse Project Worker
Location: Rise House, central Rotherham
Contract: Fixed term until the end of March 2027
Working hours: 35 hours per week over five days (Monday to Friday), or 30 hours per week over four days(Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday and Friday), worked between 9am and pm.
These working arrangements will apply for the full duration of the contract.
Start: As soon as possible, subject to pre-employment checks
Potential to become permanent, subject to funding

We are looking for compassionate, confident and motivated people to join our Domestic Abuse Coordinated Community Response (DACCR) Team.
About the role
This is a varied, rewarding and sometimes demanding frontline role. You will support people experiencing domestic abuse, often at a difficult point in their lives, helping them understand their options, reduce risk and access the right support.
You will:
- respond to referrals and provide timely support;
- complete risk and needs assessments;
- provide trauma-informed support, advice and safety planning;
- help people access appropriate services and specialist support;
- respond to helpline enquiries;
- maintain clear, accurate and timely electronic case records; and
- work closely with colleagues and partner agencies.

You will need to be able to combine empathy with professionalism, remain calm when dealing with sensitive or challenging situations and manage competing priorities.
We are looking for someone who:
- communicates confidently and sensitively with people;
- is compassionate, approachable and non-judgemental;
- can maintain appropriate professional boundaries;
- is organised and able to manage a busy workload;
- is confident using computers and digital systems;
- can work independently and as part of a team; and
- understands safeguarding and is committed to trauma-informed practice.
