We are recruiting to a pivotal leadership role within our new Expert Court Assessment Service (ECAS) — a flagship model designed to improve court outcomes and reduce delay for children and families.
This is a rare opportunity to lead a new specialist service from the ground up, shaping practice, performance and system-wide impact.
About the Role
As ECAS Team Manager, you will provide operational leadership, quality assurance and performance oversight of the service.
You will:
- Lead delivery of high-quality, court-ready assessments within statutory timescales
- Drive a robust quality assurance and performance framework
- Provide professional supervision and workforce development
- Build strong relationships with Legal Services, judiciary and partners
- Shape the strategic development and credibility of the ECAS model
Special requirements for this post
We welcome applications from qualified and experienced candidates. You will need to have a Social Work. You will need to hold a current SW England registration.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on successful applicants including an Enhanced Children’s Department of Barring Services check.

Salary range
- £57,402 - £61,653 per year
