Who we are
United Colleges Group provides education to over 11,000 learners a year, including 16–18-year-olds, adults, apprentices, and students with high needs, across our five campuses and two colleges; City of Westminster College and College of North West London. The Cockpit Theatre also forms part of the Group.
With an annual turnover of over £50m, we are one of the top 20 largest college groups in the UK. We offer education and training in almost all vocational areas at a variety of levels for a wide range of learners of all ages and starting points.
Our mission is to provide all our learners with the very best knowledge and to break down any barriers to learning. We pride ourselves on enabling our learners to meet their individual needs and aspirations and we deliver a learning experience that is unique, enjoyable and rewarding.
About the role
At United Colleges Group, we are committed to building a workplace where every colleague feels valued, supported, and able to thrive. We are now seeking an EDI & Wellbeing Coordinator to act as a champion for staff across the college, driving forward initiatives that promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing while ensuring our staff benefits and rewards remain competitive and attractive.
This is a varied and meaningful role where you will lead the development, coordination, and delivery of college-wide EDI and wellbeing programmes. You will play an active role in engaging staff directly, from coordinating EDI Champions across the college to planning and facilitating Strategic EDI Group meetings. Alongside this, you will take ownership of the college’s wellbeing programme, designing initiatives, campaigns, and resources that promote health, wellbeing, and work-life balance for all colleagues.
Another important aspect of the role will be overseeing our staff reward, recognition, and benefits schemes, ensuring that they remain fair, transparent, and aligned with our values. You will also play a central role in organising staff events and campaigns that foster a sense of community, inclusion, and engagement across the organisation. Working collaboratively with the Learning & Development Coordinator, you will design and deliver EDI and wellbeing training sessions, embedding these within staff development frameworks and ensuring their impact is measured and reported.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage colleagues at all levels. Strong organisational and analytical skills are essential, as you will be responsible for policy development, data reporting, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in further education or the wider education sector would be an advantage, as would knowledge of staff reward and benefits schemes or delivering training sessions.
