    We are currently looking to recruit an Electrical Compliance Manager to join our team.

    You will lead as the competent person to ensure the servicing, repairs, replacements, and maintenance of all electrical operations (domestic and communal) comply with the relevant health & safety regulations.

    You will be responsible for statutory compliance with electrical regulations and associated compliance areas within your remit, including the management and maintenance of electrical compliance regimes and contractors, servicing programmes, data management, and the production and management of KPIs, including all pre- and post-contract management.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manage a range of Building Services and Compliance contracts, ensuring excellent service delivery to Havering Council residents in line with legislative, corporate, and best practice requirements.
    • Act as the client representative and contract manager for the delivery of compliance and service-related programmes through external contractors, consultants, and internal SLAs.
    • Ensure all information regarding electrical servicing and maintenance is accurately recorded and updated on systems in a timely manner.
    • Manage and report on all electrical compliance works budgets within your area of responsibility.
    • Provide specialist support to the Property Services Capital Works Team and Corporate Landlord Group in determining planned maintenance priorities and offering technical advice.
    • Consult and liaise with residents, tenants, and leaseholders to ensure effective service delivery and excellent customer service.
    • Assist in the procurement of new contracts in accordance with national and Council rules and standing orders.
    • Support the Resident Safety & Compliance Manager in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and individuals, both internally and with partners.
    • Deputise for the Resident Safety & Compliance Manager when required.
    • Commission and monitor inspections, audits, and assessments to ensure electrical safety compliance with statutory requirements.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Diploma/Degree in Building Services Engineering or a professional qualification equivalent to an Electrical Qualified Supervisor.
    • Strong understanding of landlord compliance requirements in the social housing sector.
    • Experience managing large-scale servicing and compliance contracts, including budget control and contract documentation.
    • Knowledge of Building Services, Housing Legislation (including HHSRS), and relevant statutory and legislative requirements.
    • Excellent communication, IT literacy, and customer service skills.

    Other Information

    • A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.
    • You may be required to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays, and participate in the Council’s out-of-hours service.
    • You may be required to work at any Council office.
