About the role

Role Summary

As an Electrician you will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of maintenance and repairs on all electrical engineering services as required, ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of
Supervision. You will take ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs whilst remaining within budget and time parameters.

An Electrician also operates within company Health and Safety guidelines and remain up to date with technical and legal requirements of your skill areas.

"Passionate and driven NICEIC Qualified Supervisor (QS) for Town and Country Housing Repairs.

I’m a qualified and experienced electrician with over 20 years of experience in the social housing sector. C&G NVQ level 3, 18th edition, 2391 test and inspection, 2392, 2921, SMSTS, SSSTS, SEATS, IOSH I am responsible for overseeing electrical work to ensure it meets regulatory standards. My duties include inspecting installations, verifying that all work is correctly documented and certified, assessing the competence of other electricians, and ensuring compliance with British Standards, Building Regulations, and other relevant codes. Over 10 years of supervisory experience and a strong knowledge of inspection and testing procedures.

Outside of work, I am a father to 3 amazing daughters, and as you can imagine keeps me very busy.

Working at Town and Country Housing repairs allows me to have a great work-life balance.

In my spare time, my main interest is fitness and bodybuilding. I have been training for the last 15 years and love nothing more than getting lost in the gym in my free evenings and weekends."

What will you be doing?

Role Specific Responsibilities

•Installing, servicing and maintaining electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations
•Installation, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and have the ability to fill in correctly, the appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report
•Carry out EICRs and remedial upgrades to void properties, carry out day to day repairs.
•Completing reactive maintenance work as per the specification;
•Advising Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required
•Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects.
•Completing daily work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken
•Recording and submitting accurate timesheets corresponding with booking sheets,
•Working in a timely and productive manner to complete projects.
•Affording excellent customer service to client representatives
•Arranging purchase of materials required to deliver the works in a planned and efficient manner.
•Comply with TCHR safeguarding policy and H&S standards at all times

•C&G 2360 Part 1 & 2 Electrotechnical Competences plus the NVQ Certificate with 2356 with Technical Certs L2&3 plus the NVQ 3 Certificate or NVQ 3 2356 certificate - Essential
