Salary: £43,000 - £46,500 per annum (based on qualifications & experience)

Working Location: Slough, Brent and Reading
Mobile Based Worker: contractual hours to be worked from various locations such as resident home, estates etc, with ad hoc office attendance as required

Join our Electrical Team at L&Q:
We are looking for an experienced Electrician to join of our in-house Maintenance team covering our West neighbourhood which services Slough, Brent and Reading.
This is a rewarding and exciting opportunity to make a difference to our residents’ life and lead the way in delivering a customer centred service. Our Electricians are responsible for ensuring that all they do is with our residents’ satisfaction and best interests in mind. As an L&Q employee you will ensure that the you demonstrate our values consistently. This role is on the front-line delivering service and has direct impact on L&Q’s reputation; the focus will be high quality work and on first time fix approach.
We are focused on meeting targets, both financial and customer related working to time frames and making sure that jobs per day are completed on time and within cost. The team must have a firm knowledge and be ability to actively contribute to ensuring that the Direct Maintenance team’s KPIs are meet.
We are looking for experienced individuals with a good working knowledge in building and/or housing environment, particularly within social housing or local authority experience of working within domestic and or commercial Electrician role.
You will have a good knowledge, understanding and experience of Inspection & testing of electrical installations, including good ability to fault find.
As well as a customer service focus candidate will have a good understanding of the Health and Safety requirements and will act with resident safety in mind.
To be considered for this role, candidates must hold recognised qualifications in the following areas:
Core Technical Competence – All Electrical Works (EAS Table 4C)
Applicants must meet one of the following routes:
- Route 1:
NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Apprenticeship or equivalent*
(including AM2 where required under the EAS Qualifications Guide) - Route 2:
Older Technical or Craft Qualifications*
(AM2 required where applicable) - Route 3:
Experienced Worker Qualification (Maintenance/Installation Electrician)*
or ECS Gold Card (Maintenance/Installation Electrician) or equivalent
*AM2 must be held when specified in the EAS Qualifications Guide.
Wiring Regulations (EAS Table 4D)
- Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671:2018)
Desirable Qualifications
- Level 3 Award in the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (QCF) or equivalent

What you'll bring:
To be considered for this role Candidates will be able to demonstrate and or have:
- Maintenance experience preferably gained within Social Housing or a similar environment.
- Excellent customer service with proven track record in delivering service to internal and external customers
- Good knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety
- Ability to work in a pressured environment under strict time constraints
- Experience with completing electrical certification, including periodic inspections & testing.
- Full driving licence
Candidates are required to have own hand tools (larger tools and specialist equipment will be arranged if needed)

Salary range
- £43,000 - £46,500 per year
