Angus Council is seeking passionate and motivated Employability Project Workers to join the Targeting Hidden Talent Project, supporting people who are economically inactive and furthest from the labour market. Working within the communities in Angus, you will help individuals overcome barriers and take positive steps towards employment, training and personal development.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who believes in the potential of every individual and enjoys working directly with people to build confidence, resilience and pathways to success

As an Employability Project Worker, you will:

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Empathy, resilience, flexibility and a solution-focused approach. • The ability to build trust and engage effectively with hard-to-reach individuals. • Strong partnership-working and communication skills. • Experience supporting people facing multiple barriers to employment. • Experience of undertaking assessments, developing action plans and monitoring progress. • Excellent organisational and digital record-keeping abilities.
This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the local community by helping people who are often overlooked to access the support they need and progress towards sustainable employment and improved life chances.
This job is temporary until no later than 31 March 2028.
Internal and external applications on a secondment basis will be considered. You must have the approval of your line manager / organisation.

Please note interviews will be held Tuesday, 3 November 2026.
