We are seeking to appoint an experienced Environmental Health Officer Pollution to work within our Environmental Health Team, predominately covering the regulatory areas of Environmental Protection, primarily Nuisance (Noise, Smoke, Odour, Light, Dust) but also support with Air Quality and Private Water Supplies.
About You
You are a committed, flexible, self-motivated, and enthusiastic team player who is looking to work in a busy, high-profile environment and are experienced in delivering case management for nuisance. You have experience dealing with complex nuisance complaints and technical noise and nuisance aspect of planning application consultations and licensing. Experience with local air quality management and or private water supplies would also be beneficial because opportunities will exisit to contribute to these areas of Environmental Protection.
You can monitor and manage your own casework, make timely decisions, and deliver agreed outcomes. You have a passion for delivering outstanding customer service and possess excellent verbal and written communication. In addition, you have excellent negotiation and enforcement skills, and an ability to explain legislative procedures and requirements to a wide audience. Ideally you will have a demonstrable record of experience in the above fields; or have the right personality and drive and be willing to undertake technical training to allow you to undertake these tasks.
Ideally you will have an Environmental Health degree or an acoustics qualification to complement significant experience in this field. However, significant experience couple with the willingness to commit to undertake further study to achieve these is also desirable.

Salary range
- £39,089 - £50,592 per year
