Environmental Health Technical Officer (commercial team)

An opportunity has arisen within our environmental health commercial team for an environmental health technical officer on a full-time basis (37 hours per week). The successful candidate will be required to carry out routine inspections and revisits to commercial premises, deal with complaints and give advice in respect of food safety, health & safety and imported food. You will also be required to prepare reports, consider, and carry out enforcement action, and ensure that records and electronic filing systems are fully maintained and updated, good ICT skills and familiarity with current software packages such as excel will be a distinct advantage.

Candidates ideally will have successfully completed the Certificate of Higher Education in Food Premises inspection / Food Control in Environmental Health (or equivalent) or be working towards achieving EHRB registration. Consideration will be given to candidates that are currently enrolled on an accredited environmental health course.
