Job description
The Post Holder will work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead providing dedicated administrative support to ensure the smooth running of Healthcare delivery within the medical facility.You will work with all staff in the medical facility to ensure the implementation of the Medical Centre aims and objectives in accordance with Ministry of Defence (MOD) and Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) policies and procedures.
This position offers 37 hours per week, part-time candidates will be considered but due to service delivery requirements it must be on a job share basis as full-time hours need to be covered. Please note salary will be pro rata where part time hours are taken. There may also be a requirement to work at other facilities within the Varsity Combined Practice (Bassingbourn & Chicksands) if required by business needs.

Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:• Supervise and Line Manage Reception/administrative staff including setting of objectives, mid and end year Performance Annual Review (PAR) reviews.
• Liaise with Senior Medical Officer (SMO) to monitor General Practitioner (GP) rotas to enable maximum use of available clinical time.
• Attend any regional or DPHC meetings and you may also be asked to represent the Clinical Lead in their absence.
• Manage the facilities electronic Procurement Card (ePC) within the delegated financial limits as set by Headquarters (HQ) DPHC.
• Ensure all staff receive appropriate training and hold personal development plans.
• Assist colleagues with IT problems and report problems that cannot be resolved.

The interview may consist of a mix of direct questions and clinical situation-based scenarios.
The sift will be completed within 10 working days of the vacancy closing date. Interviews will be held on a date to be confirmed.
