Make a Difference in Lancaster
As an Estate Caretaker, you’ll play a vital role in keeping Lancaster’s general needs blocks and communal areas safe, clean, and welcoming. Your proactive approach will help maintain high standards, support tenant safety, and contribute to a thriving community where everyone feels proud to live.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll carry out daily inspections of communal spaces, manage bin areas, and report any repairs or safety concerns promptly. Your keen eye will spot issues like fly tipping, graffiti, or fire hazards, ensuring swift action. You’ll engage with tenants, respond to enquiries, and work closely with housing, repairs, and community safety teams. Monitoring contractors and keeping accurate records will also be part of your role.

You’ll Fit Right In If…
You’re reliable, observant, and comfortable working independently across multiple sites. Experience in customer-facing roles and estate caretaking is ideal, along with a basic understanding of health and safety. You communicate clearly and handle challenging situations with professionalism. Your flexible attitude and physical fitness will help you thrive outdoors in all weather. A basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this role. You’ll embody our values of Working Together, Ambition, Pride, and Ownership.
