Our Vacancy
Estate Services Caretaker – Make a Visible Difference Every Day
If you’re someone who takes pride in keeping things clean, safe, and running smoothly—and you enjoy being out and about, meeting people, and making a real impact in your community—this could be the perfect role for you.
At Peabody, we’re looking for a hands-on, people-focused Estate Services Caretaker to help us keep our estates looking their best. From monitoring communal areas to making sure everything is spotless and welcoming, you’ll be the friendly face residents rely on.
What your day might look like:
- Start with a quick lighting check – swap out any bulbs that need replacing.
- Roll up your sleeves and get stuck into cleaning duties across your designated areas.
- Work closely with your team and residents to keep things running smoothly and safely.
What makes this role special:
You won’t be stuck behind a desk – you’ll be out on site five days a week, making a real difference. You’ll be part of a supportive team that values your input and gives you the tools to succeed, including a company van.
And here’s a little extra: you can refer friends to any of our roles once employed at Peabody and you will receive £250 when they commence employment!
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a full, clean UK driving licence.
- Brings experience in caretaking or cleaning.
- Knows their way around powered equipment.
- Loves helping people and takes pride in their work.
What you’ll get in return:
- 30 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays)
- 2 paid volunteering days each year
- Access to a flexible benefits scheme and discount portal
- Life assurance at 4x your salary
- Up to 10% pension contribution
- And the satisfaction of knowing you’re making a real difference
This role requires a Basic DBS check and a Full UK driving licence.
Please note: Peabody does not offer sponsorship for this role.
