Gardener – Help Our Communities Bloom
This role will cover EN6, WD19, WD23-25 postcodes. Your hub base will be WD23 3PY.

As a Gardener at Peabody, you’ll play a key role in keeping our estates green, clean, and thriving all year round. From planting vibrant seasonal beds to maintaining hedges and lawns, you’ll make sure our communal areas look their best.
This is a hands-on role where your work is seen and appreciated every day. You’ll be part of a supportive team that values your skills and gives you the tools to succeed.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out scheduled grounds maintenance tasks across our estates
- Plant and maintain summer and winter beds, hedges, and turf
- Weed, spray, and clear leaves in line with seasonal requirements
- Operate and maintain powered and manual gardening tools
- Apply and store chemicals safely in line with regulations
- Remove and dispose of green waste responsibly
- Assist with landscaping projects and improvements
- Respond to emergencies and report issues like vandalism or defects
- Follow health and safety guidelines and wear PPE at all times
What You’ll Need
- A full UK driving licence (you’ll drive company vehicles)
- Experience in gardening or grounds maintenance
- Ability to use powered and manual horticultural equipment
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Physical ability to carry out manual work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations
- PA1 & PA6a pesticide certificates – desirable but not essential
- A satisfactory Basic DBS check
