Evening Facilities Officer

Evening shift 5.00pm – 9.30pm*, Monday to Friday

*End time will vary depending on meeting room demands

22.5 hours per week

Rushmoor Borough Council is seeking a dependable and proactive Evening Facilities Officer to support our evening operations within the Council offices. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in creating welcoming, well-prepared spaces for public meetings, community events, and internal functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up meeting rooms with furniture, AV equipment, refreshments, and signage in line with booking requirements
• Carry out light cleaning duties in meeting rooms after use, including wiping down tables, removing rubbish, restocking supplies, and cleaning shared equipment such as coffee machines to ensure spaces are hygienic.
• Liaise with council staff, elected members, and community groups to support evening activities
• Monitor building security and report any issues or hazards
• Assist with light maintenance and general facilities tasks as required

• A reliable team player with a practical mindset and good attention to detail
• Comfortable with lone working, manual handling and basic equipment setup
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Experience in facilities, hospitality, or public sector support (desirable but not essential)
