The post would be ideally suited to applicants who feel a sense of responsibility for today’s young people and who are able to work flexible daytime hours. The role is on a casual basis, throughout the academic year, involving morning and afternoon sessions as directed by the Examinations Manager.

Experience of carrying out invigilation duties would be an advantage however full training will be provided for all invigilators, and all hours will be negotiated for each exam period.

Hebburn Comprehensive School and South Tyneside Council are both committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will be sought along with other relevant pre-employment checks.

In line with the guidance in Keeping Children Safe in Education, we may carry out an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.

We do not currently offer skilled worker visa sponsorship.
