
Executive Assistant
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and adaptable individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is looking to take the next step in their career.
You will be responsible for managing complex diaries, coordinating meetings and appointments, handling correspondence (including electronic invitations), and ensuring all logistical arrangements—such as venues, background materials, and follow-up actions—are efficiently managed.
The ideal candidate has:
- Experience of providing personal support to senior managers in a large and complex organisation.
- Experience of diary management.
- Experience of developing effective relationships with officers and partners.
- A good knowledge of local authority functions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The role requires an emphasis on dedication, accuracy and a high level of customer focus for personal and telephone callers, with a degree of initiative to delegate and escalate as appropriate.
The Person
Do you have an outstanding track record of providing high quality personal support to senior managers in a busy office environment?
Do you have experience in working as part of a busy team, sharing good practice and working closely with others?
Are you resilient, forward thinking and able to take on a challenging workload whilst demonstrating a flexible approach and ability to respond quickly to changing workloads and priorities?
Are you dedicated and able to use your initiative to handle enquiries to ensure that your director’s time is managed effectively and they are free to respond to complex issues?
If you possess all the above and are highly organised, an excellent communicator and have excellent skills in MS Outlook and arranging meetings then we would be delighted to hear from you.
Experience working in local government, or with elected politicians or senior local authority leaders would be an advantage but not essential.
