To represent Town & Country Housing at group level on all aspects of, and be responsible for, the management of colleague Health & Safety. To manage the hard and soft services at the Head Office and all Working Hubs.

Meet your Manager
I joined TCH in 2017 and have been fortunate to play a key role in the organisation’s growth and the evolution of the technology that supports it.
As Head of IT & Facilities, I lead our Service Desk, Infrastructure, Development and Project Delivery teams, as well as Facilities - ensuring our services are reliable, secure and aligned to the needs of colleagues and customers.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and exploring new places.

What will you be doing?
Role Specific Responsibilities
•Create and manage effective Health and Safety Management systems that reflect legal and good practice standards.
•Measure and report on occupational H&S performance to both internal and Group committees.
•Advising on the maintenance and improvement of safe systems of work for TCH colleagues.
•To oversee the company accident & incident procedure. To include the investigation of incidents and near misses with the goal of managing risk to TCH colleagues and to the company.
•To create, review and manage the implementation of Health & Safety policies and governance arrangements.
•Proactively manage the delivery of a comprehensive office support service including cleaning, supply of equipment, consumables and PPE, post management, building access and security, document archiving, waste management and recycling.
•Work closely with suppliers, partners, colleagues, senior management and internal customers to resolve complex issues quickly and to a high standard.
•Work with the IT Service Desk Supervisor to manage the facilities Help Desk system and adhere to published SLAs.
•Ensure offices are well maintained.
•Oversee the management of the first aider and fire warden appointments at the Head Office and all Working Hubs.
•Deliver Health & Safety training to colleagues on topics such as Lone Working, Risk Assessment, Manual Handling and Working from Height.
•Keep the Business Continuity Plan up to date, ensure staff are trained and support senior managers in related activity.
•Set and manage Facilities budgets.

•Attend and participate in training and other meetings and staff events as required.
•Be an effective member of your team, presenting a positive impression of your section and the business.

•This role will require the individual to travel to various sites across our office portfolio. It is therefore expected that the individual in this role has a full driving licence and access to a car with relevant business insurance.
About You
Education & Qualifications
GCSE level education including Maths and English
Qualification in facilities management or a related discipline
Key Skills & Competencies
Computer literate with Microsoft Office experience
Office administration experience
Experience in a customer facing role
Experience of managing contracts (Desirable)
Experience of producing and maintaining policies (Desirable)
Good verbal communicator
Able to write clearly and concisely
