
Facilities Assistant ( Bank / Relief)
As a Facilities Assistant, you’ll play an important role in keeping the premises clean, safe and welcoming for everyone who uses the centre. You’ll ensure the building is well‑presented at all times, support day‑to‑day operations and help prepare rooms and spaces for activities and bookings. Working closely with colleagues across the centre, you’ll help create a positive experience for all visitors. Please note this is a Zero Hour Contract.
About You
You’re someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards and understands the importance of good customer service. You’re proactive, practical and able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends when required. You bring experience from a similar environment and understand the health and safety responsibilities linked to facilities work.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out daily and periodic cleaning tasks to a high standard.
- Safely use specialist cleaning machinery and follow manufacturer guidance.
- Report defects, hazards or safety concerns promptly and ensure follow‑up action is taken.
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and correctly in line with COSHH requirements.
- Set up rooms, equipment and spaces for activities, events and room hire bookings.
- Follow all Peabody Health & Safety procedures and support centre safety duties such as Fire Warden or First Aider responsibilities when required.
This role will require a basic DBS check.
