About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Family Hub Assistant to join our Family Hub team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality services for children, young people, and families within our communities.

Working closely with the Family Hub Lead Officers and wider Family Hub team, you will help ensure services are welcoming, efficient, and responsive to the needs of local families.

You will provide administrative and reception support, assist with the delivery of activities and sessions, and contribute to maintaining safe and well-managed Family Hub environments.

What You Will Be Doing
As a Family Hub Assistant, you will:
  • Provide administrative support to Family Hub teams, including data entry, record keeping, scheduling, and general office duties.
  • Act as a welcoming first point of contact for families, professionals, and visitors, undertaking reception duties as required.
  • Support the planning and facilitation of Family Hub activities and sessions for children, young people, and families.
  • Assist with setting up and preparing rooms and resources for activities, workshops, and events.
  • Support Family Hub Lead Officers to ensure centres remain safe, welcoming, and fit for purpose.
  • Undertake health and safety checks and related tasks under the guidance of Family Hub Lead Officers.
  • Work in line with safeguarding, early help, and organisational policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service and help families access appropriate support and services.About You
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Can communicate effectively with children, families, colleagues, and partner agencies.
  • Is friendly, approachable, and able to provide excellent customer service.
  • Has the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Is confident using IT systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • Has an understanding of safeguarding and the importance of early help services.
  • Is flexible and willing to support a range of Family Hub activities and services.
