Be part of something new. Help families thrive. Transform outcomes for children.

We are building an innovative new Family Resilience Service as part of our commitment to the role out of Family Help and we are looking for passionate, skilled and ambitious practitioners to join us at the start of this exciting journey.

This is your opportunity to become part of a multidisciplinary team that works creatively and intensively with children, young people and families to deliver meaningful, sustainable change.

Our new Family Resilience Service will bring together practitioners with expertise in Trauma, Neurodiversity, Healthy Relationships, Educational Wellbeing and Family Network Meetings, working alongside Family Help Lead Practitioners to deliver targeted interventions that help families overcome challenges and build on their strengths.

Together, we will provide practical, evidence-informed support that is child-centred, relationship-based and focused on improving outcomes for children and young people.

We are recruiting one practitioner for each role in each quadrant of Hertfordshire (North, South, East and West), creating 20 new positions across the county.

About the roles

Neurodiversity Worker

Supporting children, young people and families where neurodiversity is impacting family life, emotional wellbeing, education or engagement with services.

You will provide targeted interventions, parent coaching and practical support to help families better understand and respond to neurodiverse needs. You will work closely with SEND services, schools and community organisations, helping families navigate available support and access resources within their local communities.

You will deliver one-to-one interventions, facilitate groups and workshops, attend multi-agency and SEND-related meetings and help strengthen links between Family Help and SEND systems.

Trauma Worker

Supporting children and families affected by trauma, adversity, loss, abuse, neglect or significant life events.

You will deliver trauma-informed interventions that help children and families understand their experiences, develop resilience, build emotional regulation skills and strengthen relationships. Working directly with children, parents and carers, you will help create safe, nurturing environments that support recovery and positive change.

Healthy Relationships Worker

Supporting families where relationship difficulties, parental conflict, domestic abuse or unhealthy relationship patterns are affecting children's outcomes and wellbeing.

You will work directly with children, parents and carers to improve communication, emotional regulation, conflict resolution and healthy relationship skills. Through targeted interventions and practical coaching, you will help families create safer, more stable and nurturing relationships.

Family Network Meeting Coordinator

Supporting children and families to identify and mobilise the strengths within their wider family and support networks.

You will coordinate and facilitate Family Network Meetings, bringing together family members and professionals to develop family-led plans that improve safety, stability and outcomes for children. You will help families recognise their strengths, build support around children and make meaningful decisions together.

Educational Wellbeing Practitioner

Supporting children and young people whose emotional wellbeing is having an impact on their education, attendance, engagement or achievement.

You will deliver targeted interventions that promote emotional wellbeing, resilience and school engagement, working closely with children, families, schools and other professionals. You will help remove barriers to learning and support children to achieve their full potential.
