Family Support Worker
Directorate: Children & Young People Services
Temporary, Full time, 37 hours per week
Are you passionate about helping families through difficult times and making a real difference to children's lives?
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Family Support Worker to join our specialist Engage Team, providing intensive, crisis-focused support to children, young people and families. Working alongside Social Workers and partner agencies, you will help families build on their strengths, reduce risks and achieve positive outcomes for their children.
What you'll do:
- Deliver direct support to children and families experiencing crisis.
- Build trusted relationships and help families identify and achieve their goals.
- Complete home visits and practical interventions.
- Work closely with Social Workers and partner agencies.
- Support safeguarding plans and promote children's safety and wellbeing.
- Help families access community resources and strengthen support networks.
What we're looking for:
- Experience working with children, young people and families.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
- A compassionate, resilient and solution-focused approach.
- Ability to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends.

Salary range
- £33,119 - £35,570 per year
