Your typical month starts with the preparation and posting of month-end journals, working closely with budget holders to ensure everything is posted accurately and on time. You will be performing detailed reconciliations, analyse programme performance, monitor project expenditure and grant income. After the month end closes, you will be involved in various reporting, forecasts and attending the meetings. Towards month-end, you will be reviewing reporting timelines and preparing for the next close cycle, ensuring all relevant information is understood and clear for the next month-end process

What you’ll do

As a Finance Analyst, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality management reporting and maintaining strong financial control across a complex, high-profile programme focused on resident safety and compliance. With a particular focus on accuracy, insight and continuous improvement, you’ll work closely with the Finance Business Partner and operational teams to ensure data integrity, robust reporting and informed decision-making.

Your role covers all aspects of management accounting and reporting, including monthly accounts preparation, forecasting, variance analysis and supporting regulatory and audit requirements. You’ll love working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, building strong relationships to challenge costs, improve data quality and support better financial outcomes. You’re someone who thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering meaningful insights that make a difference.

You will have:

  • Experience in a management accounting or business reporting role, including leading on management accounts
  • Strong analytical skills, working with large data sets and translating them into meaningful insights
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
  • The ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues
  • Be part-qualified (or working towards) with a commitment to continued development
  • Used to working in a busy, high-pressure environment with the ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and knowledge of accounting software (Sun Systems desirable)
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a positive “can-do” approach

Our Assessment Process

Our fair, inclusive, and transparent recruitment process begins with a first-stage, in-person interview at our Westminster Bridge Road office on 6th or 7th July. You should allow around 90 minutes, during which you will take part in a competency-based interview followed by an Excel exercise. Candidates who progress will then be invited to a final interview via MS Teams on 10th or 13th July.
