
Finance Analyst (Capital Accounting)
Our Vacancy
As a Finance Analyst specialising in Capital Accounting, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data across housing properties, capital grants, investment property and fixed asset registers. Sitting within the Group Financial Control team, you will help maintain strong financial controls and deliver timely and accurate reporting. This is a collaborative role where you will support financial processes, liaise with auditors, and contribute to continuous improvement across finance operations.
What you'll do
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of fixed assets and related financial records. You will process and reconcile asset registers, prepare journals, and ensure balance sheet accounts are maintained to a high standard. You will support month-end and year-end reporting, ensuring all outputs are accurate, timely, and compliant with relevant standards. As a key point of contact, you will liaise with external auditors, assist with audit queries, and provide insightful reporting to stakeholders. Alongside your core responsibilities, you will play an active role in improving finance processes, enhancing data quality, and supporting colleagues to deliver a first-class finance service.
What you'll need
• Proven experience supporting a Senior Leadership team, being comfortable working with executive colleagues.
• Strong background in meeting administration, including agenda preparation, report writing, and formal minute taking.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
• High level of organisational ability, capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure with minimal supervision.
•Demonstrable experience in supporting business processes with a proven ability to identify, streamline, and implement improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
• Proven experience in managing and developing teams, with the ability to lead effectively, delegate tasks, and maintain high performance standards.
You’ll need to be in the office for a minimum of 2 days per week.
