About the Role and Our Ideal Candidate

The Role

As our Finance Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for internal and external customers on financial matters and provide vital administrative support to the Finance Team. Your day-to-day work will be key to the efficient running of the department, involving the timely payment of invoices, administration of expenses, and accurate transaction processing for general ledger and customer accounts. Key duties include processing purchase and sales ledger invoices and supporting 1st stage arrears collection.

We are looking for someone with the following Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Customer Focused: A solution-based approach to dealing with enquiries.
  • Clear Communication: The ability to explain complex financial matters in non-technical terms.
  • Accuracy & Efficiency: Accurate and efficient data input skills are a must.
  • Organised: Proven ability to effectively manage and prioritise workload to meet performance targets.

Qualifications or Proven Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 x GCSE at Grades 9-4 (A*-C) including Maths & English (or equivalent).
  • IT Confidence: Confident in the use of IT, particularly spreadsheets.
