As a core member of our Finance team, will be responsible for carrying out a range of financial support functions including accounts payable, account receivable, bank reconciliation, supporting with balance sheet reconciliations and supporting financial processes in Oracle Fusion.


Job description

As Finance Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Creating PO, supplier and customer accounts;
  • Weekly payment run to third party suppliers, expense claims and ad-hoc payment (when applicable);
  • Raising manual journals on accruals, prepayment and other balance sheet codes to ensure accurate capture of all financial activities;
  • Monthly bank reconciliations, resolution and clearing of all differences, suspense entries, on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to maintain quality standards;
  • Assisting in the annual external year-end audit and liaising appropriately with the external auditors and engage relevant stakeholders

Person specification

Key requirements include:

  • AAT qualified or CCAB part-qualified with commitment for full qualification (supported by the organisation).
  • Experience maintaining records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; and ensuring compliance with legal
  • Significant experience of maintaining nominal accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
  • Proven experience of balancing nominal accounts by reconciling entries.
  • Experienced Excel user and proficient in other MS Office products.
  • Demonstrable ability to use own initiative.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the team and internal/external stakeholders.
