Finance Assistant (Capital Accounting)
Are you detail-focused, analytical and looking to build your career in finance? Do you enjoy working with data, improving processes and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting?
We’re looking for a Finance Assistant (Capital Accounting) to join our Group Financial Control team, where you’ll play a key part in maintaining the integrity of our fixed asset data and supporting accurate reporting across housing properties and capital investments.
What you’ll do
As a Finance Assistant, you’ll be responsible for supporting the Group Financial Control team with fixed asset and capital accounting processes and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.
With a strong focus on data quality and financial control, you’ll work across housing properties, capital grants and fixed asset registers, helping to ensure that our registers are complete, accurate and reliable. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across finance in a matrix environment, contributing to a joined-up approach to data, systems and processes.
Your role will include component analysis to post capital spent to the asset register, preparing and posting journals, supporting month-end and year-end activities, and helping to identify and resolve discrepancies. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement, using your analytical mindset to strengthen controls and enhance reporting.
If you enjoy working with data, problem-solving and building your finance career in a supportive and collaborative environment, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll need
You’re detail-focused, organised and proactive, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a passion for getting things right. You enjoy working as part of a team, building relationships and supporting others, while also being confident working independently to meet deadlines.
