We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Finance Business Partner to join our Resources Directorate on a full-time, permanent basis.

About you…

This is an exciting opportunity in the Resources Directorate for a talented and dynamic individual with the experience and drive to join our strong team and help us achieve our vision. We take great pride in the services we provide directly and in our key role of enabling other service areas to succeed in meeting their priorities effectively and efficiently.

You must be CCAB qualified or equivalent accountancy qualification, with significant post-qualification experience and technical knowledge in education and social care finance from a local authority perspective. You will have the ability to analyse and interpret complex financial information to inform decision making.

About the team…

The Accountancy team is a friendly, supportive and busy team with an excellent reputation for delivery. Finance Business Partners play a crucial role in developing and enhancing that reputation due to the strategic role they perform. You will be working collaboratively within a team of experienced professionals to provide high quality financial advice and support to Directorate Management teams, other Budget Managers and Members.

Key responsibilities…

You will lead strategic financial management for the People Directorate, providing expert advice on budgets for services including Adults and Children’s Social Care and Education. You will play a key role in transformation programmes, ensuring efficient service delivery. You will need a CCAB qualification and substantial local authority finance experience for this role.
