Finance Manager
In response to significant development across the LGPS (Local Governmant Pensions Scheme) sector, we are looking for one of two Finance Managers who can apply their expertise and knowledge of the LGPS to deliver high quality financial services to senior stakeholders of the London Pensions Fund Authority. You will manage a small team and will report to the Head of Finance and Accountancy. This is a role that really matters and requires the ability to develop close working relationships across our organisation. With responsibility for our operational accounts, you will shape budgets, improve our reporting and support our risk management. You are comfortable with complex data and the insights that it can deliver. You are a qualified professional and will work closely with the other Finance Manager, providing cover when required. Qualifications and experience
Professional Membership/Qualifications
- Member of CCAB (CIPFA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Evidence of significant relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
Essential Experience
- Significant experience producing statutory accounts under IFRS (CIPFA code) including investment accounting.
- Previous experience of working in a similar role within the LGPS.
- Knowledge of the major issues facing the local government pension scheme, understanding of the national policy context, requirements and future direction.
- Experience of working effectively in an area with competing demands and tight timescales.
Hours and Salary
This is intended to be a full-time permanent role with the successful applicant working a minimum of two days per week in the office.
The salary is in the range of £78,000 - £82,400 dependent on experience + 10% discretionary bonus.
