As the Finance Manager - Management Reporting, you’ll play a key role within the Group Financial Control team, leading the delivery of insightful, accurate, and timely performance information to support decision-making at the highest level. You’ll manage the month-end reporting process, drive continuous improvement, and help shape a strong, high-performing management reporting function.

You’ll also be responsible for enhancing reporting through automation and innovation, providing meaningful analysis, and supporting stakeholders across the business to deliver Peabody’s strategic priorities.

What you’ll do

  • Manage the month-end management reporting process, producing insightful reporting for senior stakeholders.
  • Deliver accurate, timely and high-quality management reporting, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Produce narrative reports for the Executive Team, Committees, and Boards, providing meaningful analysis and commentary to support decision-making.
  • Lead on the Group’s Value for Money reporting, analysing performance against targets.
  • Prepare and review the quarterly NROSH cashflow submission.
  • Drive improvements in management reporting, including automation and modernisation of processes.
  • Identify risks and opportunities through detailed performance analysis.
  • Establish and monitor strong financial controls to ensure data quality and compliance.
  • Continuously improve systems/processes and lead/contribute to large-scale finance projects.
  • Lead and develop a team of two, driving high performance and continuous improvement.

What you’ll need

You’re a collaborative and motivating team leader with a passion for financial analysis and management reporting. You’re detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities, and a confident communicator who can influence stakeholders at all levels. You can tailor your communication style to suit both finance and non-finance audiences, presenting complex financial information in a clear and accessible way.

You will also have:

  • CCAB (or equivalent) qualification with post-qualification experience.
  • Experience of managing teams.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing management accounts.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong report-writing capability.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems (Sun Systems desirable).
  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualisation tools (desirable).
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks.
