An excellent opportunity has arisen for an appropriately qualified, self-motivated and highly organised individual who is hungry to tackle the role of Finance Manager – Performance Reporting.
Your impact in the role:
You will report directly to the Head of Finance - Reporting & Monitoring and lead a close knit, motivated a highly performing and engaged team of finance professionals. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Operations & Decision Support: Support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cost management to ensure accurate, timely financial operations that enable informed decision-making across the business.
- Management Accounts: Lead on month-end close process ensuring accurate management accounts production.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support annual and quarterly budgeting & forecasting cycles, ensuring rigorous reviews and variance analysis.
- Performance Reporting: Through collaboration develop and maintain a suite of reporting metrics and KPIs that supports agile business decision making and monitoring.
- Compliance: Maintain strong financial governance through effective policies, internal controls, and risk management practices across day-to-day activities.
- Business Partnering: Build strong relationships with Finance Business Partners to capture risks, opportunities and mitigation strategies.
- Team Leadership & Systems Improvement: Develop finance colleagues professionally, foster a high-performing team culture, and drive improvements in systems, workflows, and stakeholder communication.
What you'll bring:
- Technical Expertise: Professionally qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) with strong knowledge of capital expenditure and investment appraisal techniques; sector-specific experience is helpful but not essential.
- Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams, delegate effectively, and foster a positive team culture.
- Commercial & Analytical Skills: Strong financial analysis and commercial awareness to support strategic decision-making and organisational goals.
- Communication & Influence: Clear communicator capable of engaging senior stakeholders and presenting complex financial information in an accessible way.
- Planning & Systems Proficiency: Skilled in managing priorities and risks, with proficiency in business software and financial tools to support analysis and reporting.
