What you'll do
As the Finance Operations Manager - Accounts Payable, you'll lead our Accounts Payable function within the Finance Operational Hub, ensuring an efficient, compliant, and customer-focused payment service across Notting Hill Genesis (NHG).
You will oversee a team of finance professionals responsible for the seamless management of supplier payments, financial controls, and process improvements. Your leadership will help maintain NHG's financial health, strengthen supplier relationships, and support strategic goals through robust operational finance practices.
As a key manager in the Finance team, you'll drive excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement-making sure our transactional finance services deliver value for residents, partners, and the organisation.
How you'll do it
- Lead and develop the Accounts Payable team, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and efficient payment processes.
- Build strong and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, resolving complex payment issues swiftly and professionally.
- Streamline and modernise accounts payable processes through automation, improved workflows, and digital innovation.
- Deliver accurate and insightful KPIs and analysis to inform senior management on the organisation's financial health.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls, implementing effective safeguards against fraud and error.
- Collaborate with business partners to ensure high-quality monthly reporting and continuous process improvements.
- Promote NHG's Better Together strategy by fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and service excellence.
- Provide senior-level financial advice and guidance, contributing to organisational decision-making.
- Manage, appraise, and develop staff to achieve high performance and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the accounts payable lifecycle, ensuring best practice and adherence to policy.
- Maintain strong financial governance and control within the operational finance function.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in financial operations.
- Support the implementation of new systems and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with NHG and statutory policies, including health and safety and financial regulations.
The ideal candidate

Essential:
- Part or fully qualified CCAB accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA, or equivalent), or qualified by experience.
- Proven experience in managing an Accounts Payable function in a large, complex organisation.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams within a customer service-focused finance environment.
- Advanced IT and systems skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
- Analytical capability to interpret complex data and recommend effective solutions to senior management.

Salary range
- £53,462 - £59,403 per year
