
Finance Systems Data Officer

What you'll do
As a Finance Systems Data Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial data across Notting Hill Genesis. Working within the Finance Systems team, you will support the integration between our purchase ledger system (Dynamics 365) and general ledger system (SUN Systems), ensuring data flows seamlessly and accurately between platforms.
You will take ownership of data reconciliation, cleansing, validation, and control processes, helping to strengthen our financial systems environment and enabling timely and accurate financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills, a passion for data quality, and an interest in finance systems and process improvement.
As part of our Finance team, you will help drive a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer focus, ensuring we deliver excellent outcomes for our residents and colleagues.
How you'll do it
- Monitor daily purchase ledger output files and manage the upload of financial data from Dynamics 365 into SUN Systems.
- Cleanse, validate, and reconcile large volumes of financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Lead the reconciliation of daily integration files and perform monthly reconciliations to support month-end reporting processes.
- Work closely with third-party system support providers to resolve integration issues quickly and minimise disruption.
- Introduce and maintain robust controls across finance system integrations to improve data quality and reduce risk.
- Support the Finance Systems team in identifying and resolving issues at source, promoting automation and process efficiencies wherever possible.
- Carry out monthly control account reconciliations and support wider finance reconciliation activities.
- Assist with supplier account reconciliations and data cleansing exercises.
- Perform regular integrity checks on mapping tables and financial data flows to ensure alignment between source and target systems.
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, maintaining accurate mapping logic to support reliable financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with NHG policies, financial regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of finance systems and processes.

Essential:
- Experience working within a finance function, with a good understanding of finance processes, procedures, and data flows.
- Proven experience performing reconciliations and investigating financial data discrepancies.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large, complex datasets.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- A commitment to professional integrity, confidentiality, and ethical behaviour.
Desirable:
- Experience using Dynamics 365 (D365).
- Knowledge of Power BI and data visualisation tools.
- Experience working with finance systems integrations and mapping tables.
- Understanding of automation and process improvement techniques within finance functions.

Salary range
- £36,554 - £40,616 per year
