As Finance Systems Improvement Lead, you'll sit at the heart of finance transformation, shaping how our systems support accurate reporting, strong controls, and confident decision-making.

You'll work across Finance Systems, Financial Reporting, and operational teams to embed consistent ways of working, improve data quality, and ensure our finance systems truly enable the business - making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys turning complexity into simplicity and driving lasting improvement.

Please note that the advertised salary reflects rates effective from 1 April 2026 and will apply only to candidates whose start date is on or after this date.

    What you'll do

As the Finance Systems Improvement Lead, you will act as the strategic bridge between Finance Systems, Financial Reporting, and Operational Finance teams. You will ensure that finance systems and reporting processes operate as a single, aligned ecosystem, delivering accurate, timely, and trusted financial information.

You'll take ownership of documenting and standardising finance system processes (particularly D365/MyFinance), aligning them with reporting requirements, and embedding new ways of working across teams as structures evolve.

Your work will strengthen financial controls, improve data quality, and support a more efficient and insight-driven finance function.

    How you'll do it

    • Document and standardise end-to-end Finance Systems processes, including workflows, data flows, controls, and integrations

    • Produce clear SOPs and user guidance to support consistent and effective system adoption

    • Align finance system processes with reporting cycles, ensuring a smooth and reliable month-end close

    • Identify system-related risks and reporting issues, recommending and implementing practical solutions

    • Support teams in embedding new ways of working, providing coaching and guidance on system use and best practice

    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, accuracy, and efficiency

    • Work collaboratively with Finance Systems, Reporting, Analytics, and Transformation teams to ensure system changes are understood and embedded

    • Act as a trusted advisor to finance and operational stakeholders on system-related processes and improvements

    Responsibilities

    • Produce and maintain clear SOPs, workflow diagrams, and system guidance documentation.
    • Ensure finance system processes align with internal controls, audit standards, and data governance expectations.
    • Support the onboarding of teams into new structures, roles, and responsibilities.
    • Lead small improvement initiatives to strengthen financial controls and reporting reliability.
    • Build strong, collaborative relationships across Finance Systems, Reporting, Transformation, and Operational Finance.
    • Ensure compliance with all Notting Hill Genesis policies, financial regulations, and health and safety requirements.
