Finance Transactional Support Officer (Accounts Payable) – 12 months Fixed Term Contract
£29,000 plus a location allowance of £1,750 and excellent benefits
Based in Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes with the flexibility of hybrid working depending on business need
Free shuttle bus available between central Milton Keynes and Hanslope Park

Job description
At any moment in time, we have hundreds of active projects around the world, each with varying revenue streams. Our Finance team not only take great pride to understand the value in the financial management of these projects, they ensure everything is compliant with the National Audit Office to help deliver year end accounts to Parliament.

Join our friendly and collaborative Accounts Payable Team as a Finance Transactional Support Officer, and you’ll be responsible for diverse and important work. You’ll process financial transactional data efficiently and accurately, and administer a range of important financial processes. These include paying supplier invoices, reconciling supplier statements, investigating and resolving invoices on hold, and helping the Card Services team with the issuing of corporate credit cards.
Everybody at FCDO Services contributes to a really important mission, and this 12-month, fixed-term contract is no different. To help you thrive, you’ll need to develop and sustain excellent relationships with key internal stakeholders and external customers. In addition, you’ll be organised and proactive – on the ball when it comes to logging any customer issues or disputes and following these through to their resolution.

To be a success here, you’ll have the skills to analyse, interrogate and evaluate data, and be a confident user of the Microsoft Office suite. Being decisive matters too. We’ll look to you to make effective decisions while delivering and managing a quality service at pace.
It’s essential that you have a track record of working to tight deadlines both within a team and independently. In addition, if you have experience of working in a financial transaction environment, and familiarity with Oracle or a similar management information system, this would be advantageous.
