Financial Management Lead

Location: Hybrid Working

This is a key leadership opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to drive high-quality financial management, governance, and decision support across a complex and diverse organisation.

You will lead the delivery of robust management accounting and financial management reporting, ensuring timely, accurate insight that supports strategic decision-making. With oversight across a varied portfolio—including commercial property, regeneration, housing, capital and externally funded programmes—you will play a pivotal role in strengthening financial governance, control, and risk management.

Leading and developing a capable team, you will foster a strong performance culture, ensuring the finance function operates as a trusted business partner. You will confidently challenge and influence senior stakeholders, applying commercial acumen to improve value, optimise resource allocation, and support long-term financial sustainability.

Success in the role will require:

• Strong commercial accounting and financial planning expertise
• Proven ability to embed financial governance, controls, and risk management frameworks
• Effective leadership and team development skills
• Confidence in partnering, influencing, and challenging across senior stakeholders
• The ability to prioritise resources and focus on key financial and operational risks
