FITNESS INSTRUCTOR

2 POSTS PART TIME AND RELIEF/CASUAL POSITIONS AVAILABLE

15.625 HOURS AND 14.75 HOURS

Salary NS 4 £25,185 - £25,583 pro rata £13.05 - £13.26 per hour (pay award pending)

Working across Newark Sports and Fitness Centre and Dukeries Leisure Centre.

We’re looking for enthusiastic Fitness Instructors to help our members feel confident, supported and motivated from day one. You’ll be the friendly face on the gym floor, delivering high‑quality inductions and health checks, creating tailored programmes, and coaching safe, effective technique, while championing our classes and wider health and wellbeing offer. If you thrive in a busy fitness environment and love helping people progress, you’ll play a key role in creating an inclusive, welcoming space where everyone can enjoy being active.

We’re looking for someone with a CIMSPA‑recognised Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification and previous experience of fitness suite operations, who can work confidently on their own initiative and as part of a team. You’ll have excellent customer care and communication skills, strong organisation, and the ability to design and deliver programmes (including inductions, small group sessions and appropriate support for GP referral clients), always putting safety, cleanliness and customer needs first.

You’ll be flexible to work evenings and weekends on a rota basis.
