Join Us as a New Leaf Café & Cabin Assistant – Make a Difference in Charlton!

Are you passionate about community, kindness, and making people feel welcome? We’re looking for someone special to join our team at Blaker Court, Charlton SE7, where our Community Café and Food Cabin provide more than just food and drinks, they offer vital support to our residents, much like a food bank, in a warm and welcoming space.

As a New Leaf Café & Cabin Assistant, you’ll work alongside our dedicated managers and volunteers to keep our café and shop clean, inviting, and full of life. Every day, you’ll help ensure that everyone who walks through our doors feels valued, respected, and part of something bigger.

What you’ll do:

  • Support our café and food cabin, preparing light snacks, meals, and drinks.
  • Organise stock, check donations, and keep everything running smoothly.
  • Welcome customers, serve with a smile, and help promote our community services.
  • Maintain hygiene and safety standards, because care starts with cleanliness.

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone respectful, reliable, and committed to treating everyone with dignity.
  • Physically able to carry out moderately strenuous tasks.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and great at working independently and as part of a team.
  • A person who loves new ideas, celebrates diversity, and pulls together with others.

  • You must have the right to work in the UK; we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.

  • You need to be able to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 930AM to 130PM.
  • You’ll need to be comfortable carrying out tasks that involve some light to moderate lifting and moving of stock.

    Salary range

    • £8,642.40 per year
