
Food & Graphics Technician

Lift Tamworth is looking for a Food & Graphics Technician to join our team and provide high-quality technical support, primarily across Food and Graphics, with some additional support within Art.
You'll play an important role in helping teachers deliver engaging practical lessons by ensuring materials, equipment and resources are prepared, organised and ready for students to use safely.
About the role
You'll work closely with teaching staff to prepare materials, equipment and resources for Food and Graphics lessons, as well as providing some support within Art.
You'll help ensure practical learning environments are safe, organised and well stocked, support with the management of resources and carry out appropriate routine checks and cleaning of equipment.

Key responsibilities
- Prepare materials, equipment and resources for Food and Graphics lessons
- Provide additional technical and practical support within Art where required
- Support teachers and students during practical activities, promoting the safe use of equipment and resources
- Carry out routine checks and cleaning of equipment and practical learning areas
- Maintain organised, safe and well-stocked preparation and teaching areas
- Manage resources and stock and support with ordering where require
- Help maintain high standards of health and safety across practical learning environments
We are looking for someone who
You'll be practical, organised and confident supporting practical and creative learning. You'll understand the importance of safe working practices and be able to prepare and manage materials, equipment and resources effectively.
You'll also be a good communicator who can work collaboratively with teachers and provide appropriate support during practical activities. You'll be able to organise and prioritise your workload, use your initiative and remain flexible when priorities change.
GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent, are essential. A relevant Level 3 qualification would be desirable, as would previous experience working within a school or similar practical or creative environment.

This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week. The contract is fixed-term until 16 July 2027.
Salary range
- £21,933.24 - £23,727.19 per year
