    The Role:

    • The role of Forensic & Audit Professional provides service in the specific technical areas of IT Security, IT Forensics and Auditing and Vulnerability Management. Supporting the Technical Specialist (Security) and Security Operational lead in the administration, upgrade and development of ICT Security systems including a wide range of Microsoft security functionality.
    • As a Forensic & Audit Professional part of your duties will be managing and resolving incidents, including any high-impact or priority calls, working closely with ICT colleagues and any third-party support partners to restore service and minimise business disruption. This may involve out of hours work including on call or emergency support 
    • The role of Forensic & Audit Professional will monitor and remediate Start of Day (SOD) security processes on a rota, ensuring all security systems are operational and ready for day to day use by our users and stake holders
    • In the role of Forensic & Audit Professional you will work across a range of Security and Audit related products performing proactive monitoring, threat hunting, audit and investigation response. This includes file activity monitoring products, Microsoft Purview, DLP, IRM and eDiscovery. Staff may be expected to gather information for investigations and present this
    • As a Forensic & Audit Professional you will monitor and administer a range of email security products, creating mail flow rules, threat hunting phishing and malicious emails and reviewing content and DLP triggers
    • As a Forensic & Audit Professional will collaborate with colleagues across the Authority to support the rollout of any new applications that relate to Security, as a subject matter expert dealing with developments or new functionalities, ensuring smooth integration and user adoption. 
    • As an ICT Technical Professional you will ensure Compliance with ITIL Frameworks, particularly in incident, problem, and change management practices
